New Start is the toolkit for regeneration practitioners. It’s a creative and informative magazine, but it’s more than that: it’s an online news service, a recruitment aid, a partner for organisations wanting to spread learning and to showcase good practice, and the place that the sector’s leading thinkers use to kick-start a debate on key issues.

Our creative thinking approach to problem solving is relevant to a range of sectors including heritage, health and social care, environment, education, enterprise, community safety and housing. We adopt a cultural planning approach to the sustainable communities agenda to link existing strengths – including people – into new initiatives to create stronger, more vibrant communities. This strategic approach means that, as well as delivering projects directly in communities, we work with and involve the people and organisations who work with them. This can include training, mentoring, advocacy and consultancy services.
We work in different ways with different people, creating bespoke projects for each client. Our core staff create experienced teams of associates and artists for each project to ensure the right mix of artform and expertise. We know what works, who with and why. Our clients endorse our track record of delivering projects to a high standard and that we are highly experienced in working in a collaborative and participative way with partners and stakeholders.
